On Monday, we were delighted to welcome the trustees of the Spilsby Grammar Foundation to officially open the KEVI Fitness Barn.
This fantastic facility has been made possible through the Foundation's generous funding and will provide our students with even more opportunities to develop their fitness, wellbeing and sporting potential for years to come.
It was a pleasure to showcase the new space and share how it will benefit both current and future students. A huge thank you to the trustees for their continued support of KEVI and for the positive difference they make to the lives of young people across our community. Your investment in our students and their future is greatly appreciated, and we are proud to see the impact of your generosity reflected in this exciting new addition to our school.
The foundation was able to provide funding for sensory room equipment including the 'wallwash' on which floods colours onto the wall, floor tiles which have liquid in them so the patterns move around, and the bubble machine with optical fibre strands.
You can see in the photo our Reception girl who is totally non-verbal playing with the equipment. Using our trained TA to deliver attention autism sessions, she is able to be calm and as you can see she is really captivated by the lights. It adds another level of intervention that we can deliver to a child such as this amazing girl.
King Edward VI Academy would like to thank the Grammar School Foundation for their very generous donations.
The Foundation has provided so many items over the years including i-pads, football posts, netball posts, a grand piano, drum sets, science equipment and most recently made our school hall a focal space for celebrating achievements. We also have student recognition boards displayed in the hall for all our students to aspire to for generations to come.
None of the above would have been possible without the support of this foundation to which we are most grateful.
A huge thank you to the Spilsby Grammar School Foundation for their very kind donation to our school. We have been able to use the money to purchase a range of books for our School Library and some additional shelving so that the books can be displayed carefully and be fully accessible for the pupils.
We have taken the time to choose books that will benefit ALL the children in our school; from our youngest pupils to our oldest, our more confident readers to our early readers.
The books are a fantastic additional to our library and the children have loved enjoying them since they have been added. It is often a challenge to get the children away from the books in the library and back into class to continue with their lessons.
Thank you so much for your generosity and providing this invaluable resource for the pupils here at Toynton All Saints Primary School.
